"To be continued..." PT1

O'Keefe and Giles have released another video refuting ACORN's claim that they tried the the p1mp and prostitute act in Philly and were "thrown out" or "shown the door". The tape also refutes a few other "misstatements" made by ACORN. The video ends with the familiar words "to be continued..." leading viewers with the impression that there is/are more to come. However the ending statement may also be due to the fact that ACORN has decided to sue O'Keefe and Giles-a move which I do not believe is in ACORN's best interest as the spotlight of truth is not something they want shining on their organization. I think some honest examination of what is going on is in order-

THE DATE STAMP

First the discrepancy with the date on the video-some who oppose the truth of ACORN and what these videos show about the corrupt organization try to make the argument that the date stamp shows these videos are phony and were possibly done many years earlier. That is erroneous reasoning because;

1. Hannah Giles would be 15 at the time and as her father (Doug Giles) pointed out he would not let his 15 year old do something like this.

2. If the videos were from 5 years ago then why is ACORN firing and suspending the employees involved-now?

3. If the videos are "doctored" then why has ACORN, and specifically Conway-Russell publicly refuted them when they could have just as easily exposed them for frauds?

4. The police report (which I believe to be legitimate) shows the date of July 24th 2009 which is the date specifically expressed by O‘Keefe on the video. Even the time written on the report (10:41 AM) would coincide with what O'Keefe had said about their time at the ACORN office.

5. What did Conway-Russell look like 5 years ago? Did she look the same as she does now?

More legitimate and logical reasoning would be that the date stamp is incorrect due to a malfunction or mis-programming of the hidden camera. I do not deal with hidden cameras on a daily basis so I am not sure which it would be.

THE POLICE REPORT

Some point out that Conway-Russell did file a police report and consequently Giles and O'Keefe were not welcome; This point might have some legitimacy as it is quite feasible that Conway-Russell was merely being polite so as not to cause a disturbance at the ACORN office; it is even possible that she scheduled an appointment at a later date in hopes that she could have the police there when they arrived. However, her credibility ends there;

1. The report states that Giles and O‘Keefe caused a disturbance which the video shows did not happen when they were at ACORN. I think a 32 minute disturbance would have been noticed by all and this would negate the first argument (above) of why she sat with them for so long. This brings up some questions-So was Conway-Russell making a ”misstatement“ on the police report? Did the officer filing the report simply misunderstand Conway-Russell? Why was a disturbance reported when there was none?  What are the laws in Philly for filing a false report or lieing on a report to the police?

2. "News" reports of "being shown the door" or "being thrown out" obviously don’t pan out. O'Keefe asks a very good question as to whether or not the "news" agencies and papers will print a correction and clarify what was reported. This also brings the credibility of those who made statements about Giles and O'Keefe being "thrown out" or "shown the door" into question. Like O'Keefe and Giles videos this blog post is "to be continued..." .

UPDATE;  The legibility oh the police report is not the best, so when I viewed it on my computer I was unable to tell the identity of the person making the report.  The police report was not filed by Conway-Russell but by someone named Keith Crosby.   This raises further questions;

Who is Keith Crosby? Was there a fourth "unseen person" in the video (doubtful)?  If Keith Crosby was not in the room how could he be considered an "eye-witness" to the "disturbance"?   Did Keith Crosby "hear" the "disturbance" from another room? If so; why didn't he call the police immediately or at least see what the "disturbance" was (in which case he would have been in the video)?  The video shows no apparent "disturbance" so why did Keith Crosby file a police report if there was no "disturbance"?

My List

As a true conservative I have begun this list of the issues I should look at when considering whether to support or not support a potential candidate.  I would greatly appreciate any input from other TRUE CONSERVATIVES, so please feel free to comment and let me know if I have missed anything here is the beginning list;

1. the U.S. Constitution
2. pro-abortion vs. pro-life
3. homosexual/lesbian "marriage"
4. shamnesty for illegal aliens
5. the 2nd Amendment
6. national security at home and abroad
7. education
8. the global warming myth
9. socialsim vs. capitalism

Again, I ask that if you are on here to simply be an idiot (like Tim from Texas) then please don't bother as all I want is a decent list of ideas and I am well aware that I may not have thought of everything.  Thanks.
